Alyria could happily say that her life revolved around performing, her friends, and her family. No matter how cheesy or boring that may sound, she still had pride in her work and a kind heart for her family and friends to run to. That's what anyone would need, isn't it? Someone to lean on when something is wrong? Or someone to make you laugh when a stream of water is falling off of your cheeks? That's what she had needed when her parents left her the night of her seventh birthday. Well it wasn't so much leaving her as dumb teenagers drunk driving and crashing her parents off of a bridge who were coming home from a late night party for work. Pretty brutal, right? The worst of all of it was that she had to move to an entirely different country because of it. Getting past that, she loves living with her grandmother Sophia and met friends quicker than she had thought. Her neighbor, Cole Rochowiak, was one of her best friends. Alyria had met him first when he was alone playing basketball in his driveway and Aly sitting on her driveway staring out toward the road, the sunrise warming her ever so softly. He was the one who introduced her to Mahri, and Felicia, his brother Evan, and Landon who now are her amazing group of besties.
Alyria would usually go to the theatre at the school to help out the theatre director, Mrs. Shannon McNutt. Most people didnt like her, however, they also didnt respect the theatre. It did make Aly frustrated knowing that they didnt respect the theatre, so in return not respecting Mrs McNutt; the teacher was a great director and an amazing person to be around all together! It was Saturday morning and Alyria was sitting on extra props from last years show of The Crucible. Thinking that on Saturdays, when there wasnt any show and any Crew, that she could be in the theatre by herself amazed her by far. Knowing that no one that disrespected the theatre, such as her freshmen year classmates, wasn't going to be in there put a smile to her face.
At the time, she had a black notebook and a pink pen out on her lap to think of various musicals and shows for the upcoming year. Some of her ideas were Jekyll and Hyde, West Side Story, Mamma Mia, and, if she could, get the script for Eric Whitacre's opera Paradise Lost. It was one of Aly's favorite opera's, since it had came from the mind of the amazing Eric Whitacre, and she was bound to put it on stage herself one way or another. Aly started to sing Beyond the Sea, Celtic Women's version, as she wrote down the ideas. The pink ink seeped into the paper so smoothly and gracefully.
Just then, an idea popped into her head miraculously. Titanic as a musical? Alyria could get so many people from the school to join in! Such as the writing center and such people to help write the musical, the orchestra to be the pit as well as write the music, and of course the drama club would supply the actors! It was perfect! At least in her mind it was. She quickly jotted it down in her notebook as she got up, singing the last bit of the song a bit louder. Aly smiled to herself for a job well-done, getting a piece of lined paper, and started to write a note to put up on the announcement board, as well as a commercial for the school announcements and proposals for the teachers of the students she would like to use their talents of. Too bad she didnt have any help to do this...
